Above and Beyond Production Services is a Melbourne-based lighting and LED screen production company. Since 2012 we have delivered over 2,000 events, providing lighting systems, LED screens and tour-ready production equipment that perform consistently in real-world conditions.

AABPS started the way a lot of family businesses do - with one person, a genuine passion for the work, and a willingness to put in the hours nobody else wanted to.

We work closely with production companies, lighting designers, tour managers and event teams who need reliable gear, clear communication, and systems that integrate seamlessly into their builds.

That hasn't changed as we've grown. It's still a hands-on, close-knit team - the kind that knows the gear, knows the job, and treats every event like it matters, because it does.

Our Story

Built from the Road Up.

AABPS was founded by Jeremy 'Jez' Nolan - someone who has been working in live event production since he was 12 years old, operating lights alongside his Dad at RSL clubs for small bands.

The path from there to here runs through years of persistent industry knocking, senior school theatre, and a career that went professional the moment Year 12 finished. By his 20s, Jez was touring.

The founding vision was straightforward: build a lighting and LED screen production company that genuinely works business-to-business, where clients receive the best possible technical outcome for their budget, every time.

Age 12 - Where It Started
AABPS founder and director Jeremy 'Jez' Nolan got his start the way a lot of great careers do - by being in the right place and refusing to leave. At 12, he was operating lights on a 4-Pak alongside his Dad at RSL clubs for small bands.
Early Teens - The Persistent Kid
After three years of badgering a local lighting production company, they eventually offered him after-school work. It was the start of a proper industry education.
Post Year 12 - Professional from Day One
The second he finished Year 12, Jez started working professionally in live event production. By his 20s he was touring - accumulating real-world experience across stages, festivals, and touring rigs.

Above and Beyond Productions Pty Ltd registered, with Jez as founder and director. Trading as Above and Beyond Production Services (AABPS). Based in Cheltenham, Melbourne's south-east.
Today
Over 2,000 events delivered. Full-service production and dry hire for production companies, lighting designers, tour managers, and event teams across Australia.
