Above and Beyond Production Services (AABPS) exists to give event managers, lighting designers, and promoters access to the kind of technical production expertise that used to be reserved for major touring productions.
We are based in Cheltenham, in Melbourne’s south-east. We work across Victoria, nationally, and wherever a touring schedule takes us. Our focus is lighting and LED screen production — full-service or dry hire — delivered with the calm, precise execution that comes from doing this at the highest level for a long time.
We are not trying to be everything to everyone. We are the right fit for clients who want a genuine partner — one who will help shape the brief before the quote, protect the budget, and deliver an outcome their client will actually remember.
OUR STORY
Built from the Ground Up
AABPS was not started from a boardroom. It was founded by Jeremy ‘Jez’ Nolan — someone who has been working in live event production since he was 12 years old, operating lights alongside his Dad at RSL clubs for small bands.
The path from there to here runs through years of persistent industry knocking, senior school theatre, and a career that went professional the moment Year 12 finished. By his 20s, Jez was touring. The experience that underpins AABPS was earned on stages, loading docks, and rigging plots across Australia — not in a classroom or a meeting room.
The founding vision was straightforward: build a lighting and LED screen production company that genuinely works business-to-business, where clients receive the best possible technical outcome for their budget — every time, without the runaround.

Accredited, Insured, and Operationally Prepared
Member of Live Performance Australia. $20,000,000 public and products liability insurance. WorkCover insured. Staff assigned based on the licences required for the job — including rigging and plant operation. SWMS, Engineering Certification and Council approvals all part of the dance. The paperwork is sorted.
Full-Service or Dry Hire — Both Done Properly
Whether you need us to run the full production or supplement your inventory with touring-grade gear that shows up correctly prepped and ready to go — both are delivered to exactly the same standard.

Based in Cheltenham (Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs). We deliver across the Melbourne CBD and the wider Melbourne metro areas. For touring and festival work, we operate nationally, predominantly across the East Coast of Australia. We will go anywhere but we want to ensure best bang for your budget – so we can engage trusted partners and send our core staff and gear if that stretches it further.
